CRAZY!!!! 2 plants 1 skin WTF!!!!

Has ANYONE ever seen this before? I have an OG Kush clone that is actually growing what looks like 2 plants in the same skin coming from 1 stem. I have no idea what is happening here. Can anyone please explain to me WTF is going on here? How Crazy!!!!

It's not two plants. Just a flat branch. It's called fasciation and it also elongates buds, it's very weird to look at but it happens. Soorbudgal has a elongated bud on her profile pic. Some people believe it's a poliploid genetic mutation but it's not always the case. Here's more info I just Google it and pasted the first result

Fasciation is a fascinating mutation, but does it have value in cannabis production?

First of all thanks for replying. I checked out the link you sent and read it. It may be that but mine doesn’t look like any of there’s in the picks and the plant is only 10” tall. It’s not happening to just one stem either it’s the whole plant. There’s only the one stem coming from the dirt, goes up a few inches and then starts to do the weird split thing.

Now there was a split in the stem just above the dirt from some kind of damage. It healed and was growing normally again and then the weird stuff started happening. Idk

Reminds me of genetically altered plants as in double chromosome, where did the seed come from?
But I would be more worried about the bugs, what are you doing to get rid of them?

The Mother plant came out of a seed pack from Amsterdam I was really lucky to get my hands on. The mother plant is outdoors and is like 12 to 14 feet tall and is blowing my mind how large it is.

There was a thing a couple of years back, several over seas seed places were caught doing genetic manipulations.

What kind of bugs would cause this?

Could be it is old damage. Check your plant for newcomers.

You know, genetic manipulation may fit the bill cause I have never seen a plant growing the way this mother plant is growing. Once it started it hasn’t stop and is damn near a tree at this point, it’s only in a 3 gal fabric pot and just won’t stop growing. And now one of its clones is doing weird stuff too. Idk….. It came with 4 more seeds that haven’t been planted yet. Can’t wait to see what they do!!!!!
I’ll try and get some good pics and post later.

If the plant is diseased showing no symptoms, eg HLVd, and clones are cut from it, it may change the symptoms we normally see at different stages of growth.
This is only a theory but your plant may be diseased and behaving in unusual ways as a result of cloning.
Any evidence to support my theory?

Hey guys, just want to make this clear. This is fasciation. It is a genetic mutation where tissue grows out of control and outside the normal structure of a plant. Please take the time to Google and read up on things when provided with an answer.

What's the point to answering and trying to help less experienced growers if nobody is going to listen. You're all just guessing and the OP gets confused. I grow weed for a living. Been doing it for years. It's all I do all day everyday. I want to guide and advice new growers because it's something I didn't get when I started. Like many of the other 2016-2017 members that were here when the forum started had to learn by experience and doing lots of research.

I don't know if some of you have noticed but the site has been going downhill the last few years because once people know enough to grow a few plants to sustain their consumption they don't come back to the site to help others. Many of the more experienced growers are tired of new people asking the same questions over and over and not showing any kind of effort to aquire knowledge.

That's the reason why after a couple of years of just lurking I started to answer again. Because people need help and I want to give it to them. But it's very discouraging not being taken seriously and watching the site become a place for new growers guessing and fueling the culture of not doing the proper due diligence before spreading information.

I say this with a lot of love for this site and love of growing. Hope none take this the wrong way. Don't wanna sound like I know it all but I do know a lot of stuff that I would like people to be able to learn more easily. Don't guess. If you don't know just wait for someone that does. Love to you all

golfnrl the most points I have ever seen was on a quad chromosome plant, from the top it looked like 11, but there were 3 layers on each leaf making it 33 points.

golfnrl thanks. I actually never seen one with more than 11 fingers, and in my experience mostly very thin heavily serrated leaves, the wide indica leaves usually just 9.
I've seen online one strain called blackjack that commonly makes overlapping rows of leaves just like Rwise describes. Never had a polyploid either

9fingerleafs the Killer A5 is a 80% sativa. Indeed, the leaves were narrow or thin. I thought I took some pics but I can't find where I did. My next grow is a 100% sativa from Ace seeds. Maybe we'll see some big fans with lots of fingers.
