    Spider Farm SF1000 Stretching

    Hey All,

I have the above light(Spider Farm SF1000) and so far every(3 grows) grow the seedlings stretches so much. This time around i decided to put light lower at 16 inches and 60% power which is stronger/lower than recommended. However i woke up this morning and my seeding, which just popped out yesterday is around 4 inches long. What am i doing wrong? i dug up the seedling and planted it lower so its not as long. But should i lower the light more and keep at 60%? Is this a Genetic issue? Is something wrong with my light/setup?

    Appreciate any help as always!

I use SF 2000 for seedlings and veg. I put it at full power and about 36 inches for seedlings and about 20-24 for veg. Don't dig up the seedling. When you re-pot it, just plant it lower in the media and pack the media higher up around the stem. I usually go about 14 days in the starter cup before transplanting.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

I use a spider farmer SE 3000. You need to play with the settings and elevation. For seedlings I set it about 9" at 50%. but it can vary.
Current Grow: 1 GG4, 2 Hot Cakes, 1 Sweet Gelato Autos
    3 gallon cloth pots
    30"x30"x60" tent
    Spider Farmer SE3000
    Coco Pearlite mix
    GH Trio, Silica, Cal-Mag

yea i kept going by the recommended which was 40-60% at 18-24 inches. Now after Ckbrews suggestion i raised it to around 24 inches but set to 100% and so far no more stretching
