    HELP! Pruning?

I've got some plants that are from autoflowering feminized seeds. I started them 5/1/23. Do I start pruning like with my other grows? Also, when do I start adding nutrients?

What's like your other grows? Do you understand the difference between pruning and training?

My other grows were from seeds I had lying around. I spent $ on these seeds. I'm not sure of the difference between pruning and training. Any information tidbits would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

They look like my autos i started outdoors from seed at over a month old. I won't do it again with autos, i'll start indoors in my tent under lights for the first month at least. But now here you are so really what it looks like is it's a month behind where it needs to be as far as leaf growth an overall strength of the plant. I'd just give it more time to grow and get a understanding of training. No pruning

Much more info required! My thoughts, start over as most autos are done at ~90 days, true some are bread to take longer but we dont know that.
Did you plant the seed 5/1 or is that when it sprouted?
What is the soil, PH of it, temps, RH. Many autos are starting to flower at 3 weeks old, what are the genetics and what is their cycle (60 days (12"-18"), 90 days (~24"), 120 days (~48"))?
Also topping/pruning is not generally recommended, instead look into LST (bending and tying down). Read the info in the links listed in that green bar above.
        So tell us more!

5/1 was when I started the germination process. Those pics I posted were from last week. I'm in the northeastern USA. It's been very humid and rainy as of late. I'll take current pics today and post later. Thanks for the responses.

Here's my girls. The three that are in pots get more sun because I can move them around. My yard has a lot of trees, so no one gets full sun. I started everyone the same day. When should I start giving nutrients?

If your soil doesn't have nutes in it already now is the time to build up those plants feed them.

Yes mine looked just like yours. Autos don't seem to like crappy frequent changes of weather. Now mine are flowering and i've feed them prior to flower at least 3x with a good NPK fert. or just give them fish/guano mixed in water. I'd put a stake next to them for support so the wind don't break them till they get fat trunks. They flower real quick. Mine did at 6wks old then it will need more of the PK formula. Good luck

Should I LST the ones in the pots as well?

So these are my girls. We're 82 days into a supposed 90-99 day growth cycle. Wtf did do wrong? I've been feeding and moving them around to catch maximum sunlight, yet the stable ones in the raised bed are bigger. I'm feeling really demoralized, like I'm wasting the summer growing these wackass plants. Please talk me down.

You've got huge problems with your soil.

Pic 2, the one with the rope. Can you post pics close up of the flower?

Actually, can you post close ups of all the main flowers on each plant please and a couple of the leaves.

What is the soil you are using? Can you put the soil into a container and let the water you are using slowly run through the soil and measure the pH of the runoff water?

Are you just using water? Are you top dressing your soil with anything?

Your plants should be 6 feet tall by now.

They need better stronger light for longer periods of time.

I would look at this grow as a practice on what you can do better next time. Maybe think about timing and placement outdoors. Autos when stressed early on and not given strong lighting or soggy soil in a compost bin. Those plants are just surviving in what they been given. They only have a month to go they'll be 90days old most finish by 3months. Read up on autoflowers what they need to grow well. I don't know what you want from folks nothing is gonna change this grow now they are what they are. Sure they will plump up some if you can keep the bugs off them.

IIRC, the beginning of May was warm and sunny.

I can only guess that you have soil problems if they are getting plenty of sun as SoOrbudgal has pointed out
