I currently live in a tropical climate and grow one or two plants at a time, autoflowers, outdoors, organic super soil. As great as the tropical sun is, we also have overcast, cloudy days, particularly in the rainy season. During these periods I'd like to supplement the natural light with led indoors. I have a room where I can hang a light and vent out an adjacent window. I'd prefer not to set up a tent, etc. as it wouldn't be used that much and don't see the need. My residence is very private so carbon scrubbers aren't needed to cleanse the air. Any downsides to this you folks might think of? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Growing indoors will require more than a supplemental light. It will require a main light of 30watts per sq. foot in flower as a minimum. It will produce heat and if you're in the tropics humidity may be an issue.Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.
Veg Cupboards: Two 4x2x6H cupboards. SF2000 Evo in one SF7000 in other. Climate controlled and automated. Hand watering
Aeroponics Low Pressure Bucket: 20W LED. 5 clones & 20W LED 11 clones
Lights: Mars Hydro FC-E1200W, SF-7000, SF-2000 evo in flower room.
Medium: Coco/perlite, 7.2gal pots, no drains
Current Grow: 5 x Photos Franklin's Orange Zkittles x Sour Diesel in flower room, 3 Franklin's White Widow x Sour Diesel Clones, 13 x Orange ZkittleZ x Sour Diesel clones in Aeroponics buckets x 2.

Hey Bluey, thanks for your reply. I used to grow indoor hydro before I moved to the jungle, so I'm familiar with lights. As I said, this setup would be used only on a day without sun (non stop rain, heavy cloud cover, etc.). I'm in Costa Rica in the rainforest overlooking the Pacific, normally tons of sun. Humidity? Like 80-86 per cent! Try drying that without AC or a dehumidifier. Only a couple of plants, about 4 sq. ft. So I'll probably use a 100 watt LED. Curious if mixing LED on occasion with my normal full sun will impact the girls. No hermies I hope.
