Advice re edibles

I learned last weekend incidentally that my surgery is this Friday. I don't want to be smoking or coughing for a while. In a rush to get edibles made before leaving Friday morning. Pituitary tumor removal, technically brain surgery, ICU then floor, maybe 3 days if lucky, 102 miles from home.

I decarbed 2 ounces of uncured frozen trim for butter. Decarbed an ounce of cured popcorn for ghee. Decarbed an ounce of cured bud for Mr.furley's gummy recipe, v g tincture.
I can make butter and ghee tmrw, and a gummy batch with dispo FECO syringes (need dry time). The tincture might not be done in time (dependent on amazon delivery). I already have a jar of decarb that I want to make green dragon with in the freezer. I could start that tonight.

Q: I decarbed three foil packets of weed, how to properly store before use? Leave them in foil sitting out, in fridge, or put it in jars?
Q: Not sure about trim's potency - 2 or 3 sticks of butter?
Q: Ounce of popcorn, pound of ghee??

Lastly, any experienced smuggling in 'medicine'? Make gummies or chocolates to look like candy, put in the black bags? If dragon is ready ... capsules? Make Rice Krispies to bring? I don't have what I need to make hard candy but that sure would come in handy. TIA for any tips or advice.

Good luck to you and i hope you recover without any complications. I have no recommindations or advice why would you need to have this medicine in the hospital?

I was in the ER recently and they really messed up my meds. Particularly PRNs. For example, I was told that I couldn't have a sleeping pill at 1am because it was too late because but no one offered one at 10 pm. Once (different visit) I had to get a patient advocate to straighten out the timing of when I could ask for them. This time they changed my pain med to something I don't take and didn't want to take. Things like my inhaler were a hard no, I assume because of the cost. It came in a 30 day puffer not a single dose package. Plus no allergy meds. I was dripping the entire stay.

I won't address the wisdom of taking your own meds but I understand. I don't think my personal effects have ever been searched. I usually take a small bag with tablet, charger and ADL supplies... anything could be in that bag.

Ugh, the hospital pharmacy ... I still have bruises because of their idiocy 19 months ago. And that day/10-days they autopsied my purse, now my FitBit won't charge. I wish I had a tablet, only Chromebook. Yup, pneumonia, septic and they only gave me an inhaler Rx to fill after I was booted. I should buy chocolate bars, carefully unwrap, add oil, mold then re-package. Pfft, someone had to bring in my pain meds to prove they were dosing me wrong and they have the PMDB to check, or the pharmacy in town who filled them. And, we might not have a hospital open when I return so I don't know if/where I'll have a primary dr. This area's hospital situation is becoming infamous, really. I hope they investigate the admin and punish him accordingly. Pop. 5600, he makes almost half-million/year to lose two hospitals, several clinics and many doctors.

Howdy Puglover1, I would say that making up caps with decarbed bud, or even with cannabutter would be the easiest and quickest way. The problem that I see is that in the past several times that I have had to be in the hospital, they would not even allow me to bring in the OTC supplements that I take, everything that they will allow you to take must come from their pharmacy. The caps or edibles are still a good idea for at home.

Thank you! Yes, much of this is to be ready for going home bc I won't be able to cook, etc for a while. Other patients say you get no rest in ICU, I could go days without sleep in any hospital. If I had grape jello I could make gummy drops to look like my elderberry gummies and throw them in that jar. I just wanna sleep away the boredom. I've brought vapes and done them outside there at outpatient appts ... it is Chicago, lol.

My amounts, do you think an oz of popcorn would handle a lb of ghee? two o's of trim for a 1/2 lb butter? I only made cannaghee once, it worked but it was 18 months ago, no notes. Maybe homemade cookies? Who likes hospital food anyway? My caps are clear, can't hide out in my supplement bottle that they said I could bring, they're white in tablet or capsule form.
