    Check out my grow

hey guys. Did a res water change and a bit of training today. Decided to take a few pics and share my set up. So here's the basic layout from the bottom up its a dwc hrydo setup

2 swimming kiddie/wading/dog pools. Whatever you wanna call em. They hold about 20 gal. A piece

above that I got some frames I welded together out of angle iron then cut plywood to fit inside and cut holes for the edge of the net pot to sit on

growing I have 4 train wreck plant and 4 power plant plants. Tw on the left pp on the right

lighting is a 1000w digital lumitek ballast I run hortilux mh for veg and switch to hortilux hps for flower. Run a hinged air cooled hood with a carbon scrubber. The hood is on a light mover rail with stops on the end

its all wrapped in a 4x8x6or so tall (had to cut it down to fit) with ac, heat, humidifier, and dehumidifier all controlled on thermostats and humidistats. I wanted it to be as automated as possible.

Thats about it. Any and all comments suggestions tips questions and concerns are welcomed and encouraged

sorry the babies look a little bare like I said we just went thru a pretty intense training session. They'll bounce back in a day or 2

I'll say one thing for indoor growers, you people have ingenious methods.A well thought out setup,(at least to me).

Those plants look great.....people are going to freak out over how bare they are..lol

Good example of extreme defoliation...this is what all indoor growers should do....plain and simple.

I wouldn't say all. Ya gotta know how the plants are gonna react and every system is different. But indoors if you take the time to train for your lights it pays off

I completely agree defoliation is awesome, and it's one of the best free ways to maximize your yields indoors (in my opinion), but some people definitely do take too many leaves sometimes. It can certainly stunt the plant if someone doesn't know what they're doing. Luckily though, these plants can come back from almost anything in the vegetative stage! But that doesn't necessarily mean that the plant wouldn't have done better if it was able to keep more of the leaves ✌

Like a Japanese garden! Nice set up. One day I'd like to go hydro or bubble. Eager to see how plants to after defoliating. Stay in touch.

I've said this on other threads. I am thoroughly impressed with hydro system growers. It all seems so complex to me. Looks greats. And yes we know Green, "Skin her down like a chicken bone".

It's not that hard after the first batch or two. There is a learning curve tho you can pick up a lot of knowledge in those first couple

They are 59 days from putting the first seed in a rooter plug. I was trying some experimentation with germination and it didn't go well. I put 10 train wrecks down and only 4 popped up so the power plants are about 2 weeks younger. But lots of cutting for the manifold takes some extra time but is worth it for a good canopy

Karlee - check out the manifold tutorials on the GWE main site. That's where I learned it. I already did that part of it on this grow. I kinda botched this one a little bit cause I tried some new stuff to see if I could do it in less time and it didn't work (same amount of time and ended up with really narrow manifolds instead of nice open flat ones) but I will keep posting for this grow and once I start my next I'll start a new thread for it

Hey all. It's been about 2 weeks since I posted on this thread. Up until today I haven't done much else in the grow room, just let them do their thing for the most part. So today I did a little defoliating and cleaning up and measuring. Hopefully tomorow I get time to do a water reservoir change and switch to the hps on 12 12. Like always any questions comments suggestions ect always welcome
