    Reusing coco

I've fully flushed, zero EC on run off....ph of flush 5.9....almost clear...some roots, mostly decomposed...

Any issues I need to watch out for I wouldn't if using new.

Should I give it a hot flush after letting it dry for a couple of weeks?

Maybe rebuffer it with CalMag, that is what I plan on when I reuse mine. Happy growing

      I agree with highdesertscott.
Not sure how much cleaner you can get it with what you’ve already done. I’ve looked into reusing the coco but haven’t done it yet, just cause I’m a little lazy that way.
      Auto/Photo Tent: Gorilla 2x4x7'11" HLG 350R, Infinity 4" w/Carbon Filter, Coco 50/50 perlite
      Autopot system
      : 1 Purple Haze/Malawi 100% Sativa Ace Seeds
Photo Tent: Gorilla 4x4x7'11" HLG Scorpion R, Infinity 6” w/Carbon Filter, Coco 50/50 perlite, Autopot system: 2 Purple Haze/Malawi & 2 Malawi 100% Sativa Ace seeds
Nutrients: CX Horticulture - full line for both tents

I'm likely the laziest of y'all. I don't bother with flushing. I just get most of the roots out and add perlite, as it decomposes. I do charge it with Calmag though, before planting my sprouts.
A Legend...in his own mind - , 48" X 60" X 80" 2-in-1 Grow Tent, Flower light: Vivaspectra P2500 LED. Veg light: Mars Hydro TS600 & Mars Hydro TS1000 LED lights. Nutrients: GH Flora Trio/Calmag coco/perlite, GH PH Down or pure lemon juice, in case PH down isn't available.

Well I let it "dry out" for about 3 weeks...it didn't...lol

But one bonus was something started to grow the last couple of weeks...yep a stray seed from the last crop planted 6 months ago.

I haven't bothered to hot flush it...I'll just use full strength into the veg stage then wind it back 50% when I'm starting to flower...after a decent flush of course.

All germinated seeds (paper towel method as it gets me the highest success rate, better than 90% this time around, the other method I used was placing the seeds in those little meshed Jiffy germination pods....and not 1 germinated out of many....not 1), so I placed that tap root coming out of the seed directly into the coco....works a treat.

There are some enzyme products on the market that will break down any organic matter such as roots but I.M.O it is no deal to reuse coir with all the required buffering etc...Cal magic is not cheap and it takes a lot...At least this was my conclusion this time around after doing the same..
