Firstly, I must apologize for being delayed so badly.
When I tried previously I was not allowed to the site or my password was not allowed.
Anyway, Big Brother is at bay and I am here to report (try to remember;-) ) my final count.
I harvested my Classic Cheese (Auto) 090522 - it weighed in WET over a surprising 276.3 grams (9.7 oz.)!!!
But that was wet....dried it went to a good yet disappointing 1/2 of the original weight! ( A little over 1/4 lbs.)
CC's been curing in Ball Jars (four of them) for almost 2 months now with 60% humidity.
I think this was a successful grow... the cheese is getting smoother and very nice.
Now the promised Red Dwarf....she took 3 weeks longer (09/25/2022) and the trisomes went cloudy after I introduced C'ha C'hing to see what might happen. There were some hard-to-see trisomes just turning brown but I confess to being a bit impatient and figured the worst that could happen was an intense Indica. Beautiful plant....
Did two heavy flushes so I expected a heavy harvest and I was not disappointed with a WET 347.8 grams minus the container to weight!!! Impossible?
Believe me or not, don't care...if you read my previous 1st grow I admit all my errors, and this time I'm taking some bragging rights! Yeah, over 12 Oz. BUT dry it shriveled up to approximately 1/2 again. Before weighing in with container 27.8 grams. Total including container weight. Total BEFORE minus 27.8....375.6.....347.8!!!! WET.
So Red Dwarf is in the jars curing since the 1st week of October and is a bit harsh and needs to go much longer. RD is still a great Indica strain.
So that's the result of my KISS method brought forth by my grow store guy.
Not sure of my next grow. I have the seeds and my grow tent but I am terrified of the rising costs of electricity so I need to look into my bill. Granted I went24/7 with this batch and believe I can cut back to 20/4 w/o much difference, that's a 6th less and could help. Root growth post-mortem. Good root (I think) for a 5-gallon bag.
Just not sure, even though I love the grow and it's an exceptional hobby it might be cheaper to go to my dispensary for flower if and when my supplies get low.
I haven't run the numbers yet and yes, it is legal here to purchase but not grow....government wants it's tax money. Everyone's in your pockets these days.
To see my setup and journal notes please search for javabob for both grows to date.
