Is 5 Gal pot too big for a 2x2x4 grow?

Guest if roots are to small in 5G pots what about these 135G? I'll say I have to dig them out as I cannot pull them.

With big pots there is more room for the roots, more roots gives more buds. And really these are raised beds as there is no bottom is them.

I found some liners that fit that 5 gallon wide pot I listed on eBay. About a third the price of the bucket.
