SOIL Found an answer to growing issue.

As I was looking through the grow suggestions, I found an article that was very helpful when diagnosing a flowering issue with "bananas" in the buds. According to what I found; this issue dealt with the cause of possibly being light or heat stress. That this could possibly contribute to plants deep in flower (mine happened around week 8) all of a sudden produce these to reproduce and make seeds on their own and the buds begin to look fox tail and bigger which I believe causes them to become airy buds instead of being nugget. The picture shown looked just like my last grow and these did somehow pop a seed here and there (the scarce few). O.K., I can agree to this BUT here is my problem:

    1) I use t8 fluorescent tubes 6800k for vegging 2700k for flower. Grow room temp is constant between 70 - 80 degrees, humidity right at 45%, plenty of air circulation. Almost "perfect conditions" for indoor (I use a small bedroom and grow area is the size of a queen bed. Can hold up to 6 healthy plants). I am able to keep my lights spaced between all 4 shop lights (4 tubes in each assembly) evenly and from tops of plants about 3 - 4 inches away during vegging because there is not a lot of heat thrown off. I do the same for flower BUT I start to move them up to about 6 inches away (or higher depending on stretch) to imitate fall conditions (sun moves farther away from Earth). So now I am wondering "do I have to move them up even higher away during later weeks into flower to prevent this?" I have had 3 - 4 grows that this did happen, and I thought I had lights up high enough not to cause any burning issues.

So now I am going to go by the "sweet spot for growth, where leaves are pointing upwards and back the lights up where they looked more relaxed" as now I am also wondering about the intensity of the light and if this comes into play beside how far away to put them. 2700k is not that much, I would think.

    2) 4 sativa plants (supposedly its 10-12 weeks to harvest indoors) All 4 got cut at weeks 8, 8 wks 3 days, 9 weeks, then 10 weeks. NO way they would have gone this far due to this issue showing up right in the middle of the stalk not towards the top, so I figured it was better to get them early before I have them explode with seeds all over. I had 1 plant look so good but what a surprise after the fact and I could not see them!

This does not happen all the time either. I am starting to think it has to do with the seeds I use and since I don't know what they are or bag weed seeds or seeds from friends, I go by leaf shape to determine what I have growing and go from there and I am usually right on as far as the plant goes but not the strain.
