Slimey,snoty on clone stems under water

First question. New grower. I'm trying to DWC clone Peyote WIFI 20-1 CBD. Adjusted PH, 2Airpumps and stones,Humidity dome, Clonex cloning Solution,rooting hormone ,low level lighting. Mist the tops daily. Started about a month ago. Tops look good. But the stems submerged in water have a snotty clear slime on them. Is this normal? How long should this take?
