I’ve recently harvested some different plants and have jarred them to cure as per the GWE tutorial. I’ve noticed that the humidity in the mason jars are different percentages according to the hygrometer, one plant being at 55% (it hung for 10 days until the snap of twig test) and the other is at 70% (it was hung to dry for a week.) Is it better to have the buds cure from a higher or lower humidity starting point? Or does it not matter as when the cure is over and the buds are stored long term I will be dropping in Bovida terpene shield packets which will adjust up or down to 62% relative humidity anyway?

I've had problems with mold long term with humidity at 60. I prefer to cure it around there but after a month get it down to 50 to 55. Then check the bottom of the jars once a month. No experience with bodeva but got a few freebies. Need to do a test.keeping it green with the soil thing

I'm with NuggetMan. During my dry I wait for a bud moisture content of 10-15% then jar and maintain 62% relative humidity. If you don't have a moisture meter to measure flower moisture content, you can get close by giving it a taste test. Should easily fire up, burn evenly, be flavorful and smooth.2 Photos

Are you using the small digital hygrometers? You should check their calibration. Put them all together on a table with another hygrometer that you trust and see how they read compared to eachother. If you don't have one you trust, just put them out and see which ones have a common reading.Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Yes indeed. I bought a pack of 10 off ebay and they were all 5% low. The seller was wishy washy as they did not want to deal with a return. But what good are they? They eventually refunded the money but I just threw them away.
Same thing with CO2 meters. Some you can calibrate, some you can't and some calibrate themselves. <<<Look out for that!
