    I have a silly question

My current grow has been baffling me all summer. My latest conundrum involves auto flowering plants.

Three of my plants bloomed three weeks ago but two others show no sign of flowering at all. (yes, they are female).
The two plants that have not sprouted are growing to tall and I need to get them moving along. Right now, my lights are on 18/6. One of the non flowering plants is the same strain as one of the flowering plants.

Would going to 12/12 help spur them to blossom?

Would going to 12/12 hurt the currently blossoming plants?

    Has anyone else experienced this?

12/12 is the flowering light range, 18/6 is for vegging only. 12/12 will not hurt, in fact may make them bloom more! I don't nor have grown auto flowering plants but I would think that still hours of light and day make a difference!

Hi OldManGrower I've had to place 12/12 photos while my autos had not finish yet for 3wks as i can remember. My autos were within a month of finishing but i could not wait do to space limits for photos any longer so i flipped those photos with the autos ( now i have 2 tents for that reason ) . If you could place those autos outdoors while timing those lights 12/12 an having darkness while it's daytime and warm outside then ???????? PS my autos might of been impacted slightly by having only 12hrs of light but what the hay...should only take 7days i hope.

I have had some stubborn auto’s before, on two separate occasions. I “switched” one to 12/12 by placing in a dark tent and the other time I switch lights to 14/10, both times the change got them to flower.

I also once had an auto on 18/6 doing great sharing a tent with photos. I switched to 12/12 for height control on the photos during the last week of the auto’s run and it didn’t seem to have any affect on the auto.

Do you have a way to separate them? Either making one spot dark or add separate light/timer. I think your flowering autos will be ok if switched to 12/12 but it might limit them to some degree depending on where they are in development.

        hope this helps
