    Ph question

I seriously need help I have been testing my pH before every drink but I did it before I added my nutrients and was staying at a 6.0 pH level and then I would add my new treats after reading or watching the pH video on how to correctly do it I realize I was doing it wrong I went to go give them nutrients last night and I added my nutrients to my rainwater that I've been collecting and without a 6.0 or lower I wanted to raise it to about a 64 medium is soil and after 30 drops of Ph up I was still in the yellow so I added more to a grand total of 50 drops and still yellow what was I doing wrong I'm using an API test kit

How much pH up or down depends on how much nutes you have put in. And how many tds the water had to begin with. So for example if you use RO water and it is at 7.5ph and you want it at 6.5 it might only take 1 or 2 drops of down to change it. But if you add a bunch of nutes to that RO water now your tds is way higher so it will take a lot more up or down to change it.. Say your pH is now 4.5 it might take 10 ml of up just to get it to 6.5 ph. Always ph your water/nutes before you feed. Hope this helps! Good luck.

Add all nutrients first then Ph. I prefer the BlueLab pH pen for accurate read. As Fozzy said if you are going pH down it takes a few drops usually. Using a syringe to measure mls you use s also more handy and accurate . If you mess up on the pH down-got it too low you will need to start from scratch- don't add pH up.
