    cloning

how long does it take for a clone to start showing growth [leaves] above soil line? It has some roots but no visible growth above soil line. Can anyone help me?

I cloned three different trains. One I didn't take from the mother until she had been in flower for 2-3 weeks - this clone did nothing above the soil line for almost 6 weeks and then she went crazy to become a very bushy plant with 18-20 colas. The others did nothing for about two weeks and then they took off. So, timing and strain may make a difference. I don't know how long since you cut the clone but I bet that it will suddenly take off with growth and surprise you.

As Dagmar said it depends on when you cut the clone, the longer the mother has been in flower the longer ot takes for the clones to revert back to veg. Also depends on how big of a pot you put it in cause the roots grow slower in the first couple weeks. But when they hit bottom its off to the races! Peace and positive vibes to ya!

i'm confused. if you took a clone in veg wouldn't it be in veg when it "started showing growth?"

BOOM! you hit it right on the head!... Sorry i was stoned and thought you took clones from flowering plants. Taking clones in veg all depends on the plants progress. Sorry for the initial stoner response lol Peace!
