In praise of my Trim Bin!!!

I just got finished with my first attempt at "pressing" dry sift. Mostly successful, I had an errant amount squirt from the press but I recovered it. I still have PLENTY of dry sift left, thanks to my trim bin.

My methodology is to throw my colas in the bin, trim the buds and either hang them to dry or leave individual buds to dry on small pot racks. The sticky, sticky leaves, trim, etc., remain in the bin until I get around to grinding up the mess with my hands. I then actively sift the trichomes.

This is my first real decent crop and I will have hopefully ten more plants in 6 months or so... Click image for larger version

Looks like fun. Perhaps some dry ice would help with your sifting.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

This stuff is so dry, I worry it would result in more plant matter in the trichomes pile. Great idea though!

I have trim piled up from my last two grows waiting to be dealt with. I worry about exactly this if I try to sift it now! I'm not sure If it will be more leaf than trichome. Maybe when there's three grows of trim I'll deal with it.

Trim Bin Tip 'o the Day - Cut freezer paper to size to line bottom, shiny side down. Makes for ease of collection.

Is parchment paper the same thing?

BR2K for this purpose it would be a satisfactory substitute.
