Howdy SwitchH2O. No, I live in the southern 48, but, back in the early eighties, I lived and worked in the lovely province of Alberta for about a year. Lovely rolling fields a great friendly folks! FYI, I have been using the two-part dry nutrient system from GH, the MaxiGrow and MaxiBloom along with several of their supplements as well. I have had great results with them, and I really dislike paying for shipping water! LOL!!
I am just finishing up my eleventh grow. I have been getting sufficient yields for the last five grows that I only need to grow once a year and
have been doing it in the wintertime so as to lessen the heat problems (and not run the A/C as much! Oh no! my Scottish is showing! LOL!)
Good luck with Your new grow.

Hey DW2! I'm starting a new grow next week and I'm moving from the Remo nutrient line to the General Hydroponics 6 Part Recirculating Series; I've been doing lots of research on it. I love the "Kleen", I was reading that you should use it as a flush between veg and bloom to clean the salt build-up on the roots... if any... Are you in Canada? I use Grow Daddy as my supplier of nutrients.

Howdy SwitchH2O. I run the 'plain' water for three to four days, drain, and then harvest. The results from using the FloraKleen flushing additive made a remarkable difference in the smoke by reducing the harsh 'green' effect and shortening the curing time in the jars. I do not know how, or what they use, but, in my opinion, it is worth the extra time and cost. The bottle says that it can be used, as well, to help remove or reduce excessive buildup of 'salts' in the reservoir(s).

That should have been my other question, but you answered it. Do you end everything with a final H2O flush on your final day of DWC right before harvest...

Howdy SwitchH2O. I have been using the GH FloraKleen (at the rate of 10 ml / gal) for the last six grows. It does (in my opinion) make for a smoother smoke and even seems to lessen the curing time as well. I follow the directions on the bottle; run the FloraKleen for three to four days and the drain and refill with plain water (pH'ed to 6.0) and let that run for three more days until the harvest.

I'm starting my final flush in my 4 bucket RDWC. Do any of you use supplements during your flush, like Flawless Finish or Final Flush, or any sugars like molasses?
