Black magic Coco coir? How to test PH?

hey again,
All the stuff I bought on Amazon for my grow will be here tomorrow all I need now is coco coir/perlite, however I found coco at my local home depot for $20 per cubic ft. (I'm using 3 7-gallon fabric pots) has anyone heard anything good from them? I'm getting the pH checker/changer listed on this site but how do you check pH of coco coir? I think it'll be ok either way because the brand is said to be made to get the "best yields" and all the coco on Amazon has 2-3 week shipping. Will this brand work well?

I am not a soil or Coco coir grower, but I think that You test the run off from the pots, Or like I used to check my garden soil, put some of the soil in a vial of water, wait , and then use the test solution and compare the color to a chart (should be in the soil test kit).

I've already read that one but I already bought two bags of black magic coco coir mix which already has both coco coir and perlite mixed into it, after buying it I did more research and found out it was by miracle grow but is still made for growing weed so I'm a bit weary as I know miracle grow isn't made for growing weed. I'm sure it's the right pH but i'm still a bit scared :/

Again..I prefer Cyco Platinum Coco coir over Black Magic ( I tried it).
i have rinsed my Cyco and the waste came out at 6 and 6.1. Good and clear too (that was after adding Perlite as well.)

Fuck.. I already bought two bags of black magic. How'd your black magic grow turn out? is it still ok/close to cyco platinum coco coir? I'll for sure use Cyco platinum next time (and buy it 3 weeks early as its shipping takes forever) but this time I'm stuck with black magic. Does Cyco Platinum coco not come with perlite already mixed in? my black magic does, not sure of the quality though.

I suggest don't panic. I found it dense. So ad perlite (vigoro if you can get it or a medium ground). Mix three parts coco to one part coco..then add some more perlite..a cup or two. Bayou will be fine..it seems to me extra short fiber .
hopefully you will use smart pots, no plastic and drain to waste. Don't hesitate to contact me I will help as I can. You have ph pen and what nutrients are you using.???

Do you mean like DM you? if so I will do as I can use ALL the help I can get and this is a pretty big project for me. Do you mean three parts coco one part perlite? I kinda am already over budget with all the stuff I got. Do you think I can grow 4 plants in my 3ftx3ftx6ft area? I'm only getting three at the moment as I didn't want to over do it but if you think I can fit four without affecting yield (negatively that is) I will. I'm trying to get my plants to 36 inches and when I looked up how big of pots I should get on gwe, I found 5 gallon for that size but I should double the size when using fabric pots due to water drainage so I got 7 gallons (I know it's not quite double but they were 5 7 gallons for ~$10 so fuck it right?) My pots are a foot tall so 72" (height of tent) - 12 inches - 24 inches (how far away my lights should be) is 36. I'm getting my teens tomorrow and all my equipment arrived today (minus in line fan and filter) so i'm pretty exited! Thanks again!~

Oh sorry..yes 3 parts coco one part perlite, mix well, I have done fine with 5 gal pots. And I can't lift wet 7 gal pots .

Just finished filling my 4 7 gallon fabric pots and the guy who was selling me teens flaked on me (again) and said I can pick them up friday :/ I'm impatiant
at least he said for the wait he'll give me 19" plants for $10 off each
