Do you grow cuttings to full, or original plant?

When I came here I think five years ago, never expected my disasters to turn half my living room into a jungle in just a few months. Found myself giving half my plants away, just to keep 6 in a 4x8x6 grow tent. After I cut my plants up in the end, I put it all away to think things over. Two or three plants wouldn't be much hassle, but been so long, forgot a few things. Like Gorilla Glue. Is getting feminized seeds weaker than getting normal seeds that I need to weed out the males? And so many stories in past on people who had their plants for years. Do I grow the original plant and keep it from budding, or do I let it bud, and keep the cuttings from budding instead?
one thing I did learn from last venture, and my utility bills, I'm using my solar panels for lights and fans. I have 3 200ah 12v packs, and just got to figure how many panels to keep the system 24/7. Do we have a Discord yet?

OK let me try and answer what i think your asking i hope...........fem seeds are great i have been growing 40yrs never used them but 5yrs ago i started and didn't look back. Yes it takes the waiting for sexing plants out of the game, no longer need that worry. Sure i still grow reg seeds that i find but just because i don't mind growing a random bag seed with the rest of my girls ya never know and i'll toss it if it's a male. I've grown GG#4 many times cloned them and traded for different clones. Best to take clones before flower cause it takes much longer to turn them back into veg but you can do it.
