    Caterpillars....!!!!!

Good morning Fellow Growers....I have discovered small green caterpillars nestled in my buds. I am about 3 weeks into flower, and have been told that using Neem oil to eradicate them will affect the tatste of the buds when harvested....if this is so, is there anybody out there who could suggest an alternative to Neem, to eradicate these pests... I am in South Africa, so trade name products will be different to other countries.....so active ingredients names would be appreciated so I can source similar products locally...thanking you all in advance..!!!

Neem may also cause health problems when sprayed on buds and smoked. Spinosad may not be safe, or it could be, no testing has been done.
I would not spray them with anything at this point, pick off all you can find and use predators. Watch for the moth that laid the eggs, look for eggs (smash them), pick off all affected buds (to prevent bud rot), plant plants around them that repel bugs.
Good luck we all deal with them.

I have used Monterey BT RTU with good results. https://www.montereylawngarden.com/p...terey-b-t-rtu/ I do not know if the product is available in South Africa. Good luck and happy growing.

If flowering and you spray anything and get a crazy reaction when you smoke it don’t blame the product. People love doing this with Neem oil and to top it off it’s trash Neem oil and then blame the product knowing damn well they shouldn’t be spraying buds and doit anyways. Best thing is for outdoors in build a cage with screen that way no moths get in there and no caterpillar and no sprays at least not during flower. NO MATTER WHAT. Only people that do that are dispensary and what’s the point of growing your own if you are going to do the same? Maybe save a few bucks while still consuming poison?

Cali natural is best by all means but there is no dispensary where I live in AUS and it’s up to 400$ oz so yeah anything that can be used definitely beneficial also you say poison the zero tolerance it’s vegan/organic made up of cinnamon clove oil rosemary oil thyme oil water and glycerin which completely evaporates and leaves no residue. As the years go on.. technology and products get better…
