    Experiment: The Race is On

Sorry about my previous post. I think that I have it figured out...
I have read a lot about autos versus photos and decided to find out for myself... I do believe that the autos will finish first but I am about to find out for sure, with an exact timeline... On Dec.1st I started 2 white widow photos and they are coming along nicely... On Dec' 15th I also started 2 white widow autos and they are also coming along nicely... They are being grown in separate tents using Hydroponics DWC under the same conditions, using the same nutrients... I will treat the photos as I normally do, topping and defoliating where necessary... Not sure if I should top the autos yet, have gotten conflicting reports on this practice... Any suggestions on growing autos would be appreciated since this is my first time growing autos...
Will add pictures in a few days... This is also the first time growing with hydroponics, hopefully I don't screw up too much and get a decent grow... Muskie Man

On my last auto grow, I topped one plant and bent over a second without topping. The topped plant yielded 80 grams and the bent over one yielded 76 grams, so no clear winner. The advantage of the bent over one was that there were fewer colas with slightly larger buds, so easier to trim.

This time I plan to only top the largest of my 5 plants and will bend over the rest. BTW, Bill Ward has a good YouTube video on training autoflowers.

Ok, so how long will the photos veg? I am thinking 3-5 weeks just like the autos but? And with 3-5 weeks veg I think they will finish very close to the autos.
Of course the autos can be short (60 days) medium (90 days) or long (120+ days) season and that will affect their harvest times.
