One of the things about going to strictly to fabric containers that concerned me was tying branches for training
without having to pierce the fabric. Has anyone tried using binder clips? They seem to hold onto the top of the
bag firmly and the looped wire is ideal for tying off. I have used them for years to hang my harvest and at a
dozen for under a dollar it seems like a no brainer. They can be easily moved for adjustments and go on and off
in a snap. In a pinch I hear they make a decent roach clip too.

crucialbunny, While I see the functionality of clips, I settled on the built in holes on Air Pots and grommets for fabric.

quirk, I have a grommet tool and initially that was the way I was gonna go but I really like the idea of being able to adjust the clips. Another aspect I'm considering is putting in a 8 foot 1/2 inch tree stake in each container and using the clips on it and tie the branches when they get bud heavy. Every year I end up jerry rigging supports and this year I'd like to have something in place instead of my usual spiderweb method.

I use them too...use what works as long as it doesn't affect growth...hell I repurposed some unused plastic storage containers as grow pots as an experiment and they worked well even though they were rectangular
I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

I've use those clips for couple years now, excellent for using twist ties with them or twine. Or that gromment maker is also cool.

Crucialbunny, I use these clips all the time and they work great!! I use them in conjunction with plant ties. They are easy to use, reusable from grow to grow and can be easily relocated as your plant grows. No need for special tools or to make holes in your fabric pots.

I use safety pins myself. Easily adjustable and doesn't ruin the pot. Also won't come undone with the tough branches.
