Macro Lens & Tent Cleaning Questions

    Greetings, fellow growers!

    A couple questions:

I am looking for a macro lens for my iPhone 11. I’m having difficulty using a loupe as my eyesight is not what it used to be!
Does anyone really like one they have? Any suggestions would really be appreciated!

Also, I’m set to clean my tent next week and wondered what to use. Was just gonna use Clorox wipes and air it out, but thought I would check with the experts here first.

    Thanks, everyone! 🙏

I would also be very interested in knowing about a good lens attachment for my phone. Jewellers loupes can be used but they are awkward and I keep seeing interesting looking phone attachments. Not sure if they are a scam or not. Re tent cleaning I just use the Clorox wipes or spray and paper towel. I don’t do it every grow as I have never had bugs or mold for an indoor grow but I think an occasional deep clean is a good idea.

I personally go by the yellowing of the leaves, assuming the grow has gone well of course. Typically when the plant is ready it uses up the remaining nutrients in the leaves and you start to see the fan leaves yellowing everywhere, not just the bottom. It would certainly be easier to look for if your eyesight is bad.

A decent magnifying glass can do the trick as well...or try this https://www.amazon.ca/Magnifying-Ill...52&sr=8-5&th=1
I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

I use a lens from a 1950's projector over the S-10 and get pix like this

I believe the digital microscopes run in the $20-40 range, connects to phone.

For sanitation I use a UV / ozone light. Use all precautions with that.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

That pic looks pretty good. I have a digital microscope I can connect to with my phone and it does a pretty good job with zoomed pics but I never think to get it out and it is so high magnification that it is difficult to get it zoomed in and steady on what I want to see. I was thinking something clip-on for a phone, like the crazy distance scopes you see advertised occasionally in games (no idea if they are scams but they look impressive in the ads). Looking at leaf colour and pistils dying back etc is useful but I was wondering about an attachment with a physical lens rather than digital zoom.

This is the same lens I use as a loupe. I use the large end on the phone, sits flat, think it is happenstance that it is at the right distance to work with the phone lens.

        Thanks for the thoughts, everyone!

Ordered a lens and a magnifying glass. Got a UV light on the list for next time. Will report on the lens upon review and let y’all know how it goes. Just started my new grow (photos this time) and I’ve learned so much here. GWE is the best!

I’m so grateful for all the advice!
