Leaf curl (under) on autoflower CBD

Growing 3 autos in tent. Pure Red CBD autos from Sweet Seeds. Been growing for 6 weeks, just beginning to bud. It is a short stocky plant - not at all what I'm used to growing. Almost all the leaves have a curl (under) to them.

2 cups (36oz) of pH 6.5 (growing in Happy Frog) every other day (soil is dry). 18oz of Fox Farm Grow Big (1/2 strength) every weekend. LED lite 18" from tops.

Leaves are beautiful. No browning, no spots, nothing. Just the tip curl. I think it's just the strain. Anyone have any advice? I'm thinking I may try to water every 3rd day???

Make sure you water until you get about 10-20% run off. 2 cups seems a little light to me.

Thank you. I am getting some run off. All 3 sit on small racks. I'm trying to figure this out so the simplest thing to do is reduce the water and see if that changes anything. Maybe I'll try 3 cups every 3 days...

I lift those up and turn them switch around the pots. When i do this lifting it really helps to know if they are dry, i don't think that's the issue i just think their going into flower mode which also needs less N. Sometimes if light is abit close or heat to high they tend to shy away fold into themselves for protection. These will be needing more water as they start to flower, maybe raise the light a couple inches. Good luck

SoOrbudgal thank you. I rotate then in the tent once a week. I want all the sides to get hit with light equally. I didn't realize they would need more water once they started to flower. Thank you.

don't be afraid to soak the pots. Fabric pots are great for drainage but depending on your heat and humidity levels, can dry out quickly. In a 5 gallon airpot at the correct temp you should be using at least 1.5 litres (36 ounces) of water per pot every 3 or 4 days. Are you using the finger test? if the soil feels dry when you stick your finger in up to 2 inches then it needs to be watered.

FYI 2 cups is NOT 36 ounces, it's 16 assuming its being measured properly. even 3 cups is only 24 ounces.
I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

dilvish it's going into winter here in Michigan. Getting cold and having to run the humidifier. So it takes the plants a few days to get rid of the last watering. I finger test the soil but I guess not down 2". I'll have to change that.

Sorry but I wasn't clear. I use a red solo cup to water with. It's 18oz. My mistake.

If I may, I agree with SoOrbudgal on lifting to determine water need. Lift a fully dry pot then a wet one to see, it's a simple but accurate test.
I also think you have a bad leaf claw very indicative of nitrogen toxicity, somewhat severe. Perhaps a flush to 20% run off to reduce nitro in the soil then resume water with the lift method. They are healthy plants so they will recover nicely by this within 24 hours. Happy Pharming!

Thank you sir. No more Fox Farms Grow Big now that there are beginning to flower. Maybe just a few weeks of just pHed water. I keep a log so I've not really ever had an issue with watering (always a first time for everything though...). They are pure CBD and they do grow a bit differently then THC ladies I've grown in the past. Thank for your reply!
