The fridge is OK for storing seeds. My seeds are kept in a drawer. Most are in their original containers, which are mostly small clear plastic bags. They stay at room temperature. Check this out...https://www.growweedeasy.com/how-lon...-remain-viable

Refrigerator is the preferred storage for seeds.

I've read advice from growers with more experience than I, who say the Freezer is best for really long term storage. That's how the Arctic Seed Vault does it, good enough for me.

My goal is epicurean quality rather than high yield.
I'm learning how to create cannabis tinctures and hashish and I almost always use a vaporizer to spare my aging lungs.
Despite my avatar name I'm generally amenable and helpful. So, if there's a question I'm qualified to answer, hit me up!

Howdy madman, I agree with the GOM (and the US and world seed banks!) and I have been storing seeds in the freezer for many years and I have not had ant problems in doing that. I just remove the seeds to be planted a few days prior to spouting them to allow them to 'temper' to room temperature.
            Good luck with Your growing.

That’s how I’ve always stored mine, I add a little rice to the container just to be safe. I’ve never had issues storing inside the fridge but may switch to the freezer now

I store mine in a small canning jar so I know it's a tight seal along with a moisture pack (5ml). i then place them in the back of the fridge. I've had seeds germinate just fine after at least one year in the fridge.
I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

The only seeds I lost in storage were put in used medicine bottles, I have to take it the seeds did not like whatever was in there before. Never again, I toss them in the trash now. (not the seeds, the bottles)
