c,mon Sandy why not spend more time trying to grow some more good safe bud instead of trials to prove nothing other than you are an idiot. BTW who do we send condolences to?

Why are colas affected by bud rot never used; what is the evidence for toxicity?

Damn sandyinlondon, you seem to have incited the rare occasion of a riot here! I'm shocked and dismayed, but you kinda came on strong and disrespected some folks who have walked the CannTrail a lot further than it seems you have.
Don't despair, that's my message.... well, don't despair and ALSO, don't use your body as a science fair experiment and smoke Bud Rot. Cause that's just dumb.
If you're really hard up for smoke let me (us) know: ask and ye shall receive. Most of the experienced growers here have a closet full of awesome herb and I'm damned sure we can work up a care package even if it's "long distance" delivery.
More importantly, you probably already know that the real lesson here is how to grow good weed without Bud Rot. Have you figgered out yet why your harvest was damaged? Focus on that maybe instead?
Best wishes on your next grow,
-GrouchyMy goal is epicurean quality rather than high yield.
I'm learning how to create cannabis tinctures and hashish and I almost always use a vaporizer to spare my aging lungs.
Despite my avatar name I'm generally amenable and helpful. So, if there's a question I'm qualified to answer, hit me up!

Well I certainly did not mean to disrespect anybody - I was trying to understand why Botyris bud rot was considered so toxic that it was always discarded and not used, when the same mould is used on the grapes that make some of my favourite wines.
I am a first time grower and I started in July; usually I buy in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, California, Canada, Alaska...all the places where effectively THC is now legal...but with the pandemic I became desperate due to shortage as I have no contacts in London...
I am growing indoors and my humidity is too high at 55-65% in my tent - I need to buy a dehumidifier. Since I installed extra fans I have not seen any more bus rot, but I am still some time from a proper harvest.
Grouchyold man - thank you for your very kind offer which I would love to take up, but fearful of the consequences of revealing my anonymity and also the potential for interception in the international mails, to say nothing of your own risk and trouble.
I think my growing skills are slowly improving and I hope I may have a real harvest by the end of the year...that certainly is my focus now.
This site and most of the comments on the forums here are very helpful indeed.
Currently growing in 5 and 3 gallon fabric pots using CC and Perlite mix and Canna A+B half strengh nutrients; multiple Spider Farmer 1000 lights on 12/12 cycle.
I have one surviving plant from my first 8 seeds germinated in July - this is the WWSL strain that suffered the bud rot. Also a dying Trainwreck mother that I cloned, with no buds on it at all. So 2/8 really.
I have one surviving plant from the 7 out of 8 that germinated in August; no bud there yet...this AK auto is now starting to flower
I have 3 survivors from the 3 I germinated in September, but none are anywhere near flowering yet
I also have some young clones from the Trainwreck that are all very small and immature so farLast edited by sandyinlondon; 10-20-2021, 04:43 AM.

Hi sandyinlondon,
That's more like it! if you hang around you'll find you are among friends here.
I got your PM and I'm asking around to see what is possible. In the meantime dial down the humidity, turn up the fans and pamper your plants!
