TDS and EC ... HELP PLEASE !

hello folks 😀 i am so confused about how to accurately measure tds and ec or ppm .
i turn on my meter put it in tap water and it says ppm 0039 x 10 .see the photo . But how does that relate to the scale on the graph shown ? and the same thing with the EC reading of 0076 ?
it is doing my head in ..
does this meter require calibration ?

Thanks to anyone who can help me .

I have no idea what that chart is. The pH lists things like "joy" "peace" and "love" and shit. That said I suspect that you multiply your value by ten, though that is an odd TDS meter. I would think your tap is about 380 ppm which is slightly hard water.

Most meters use the 500 scale. Meaning every 500 ppm equals to 1000 Mili Siemens. So your meter is showing 380 ppms = to 760mili Siemens or generally showed just as 0.76 EC
