I'd trim any that don't get light to them or block bud sites or if two leaves are stacked on each other. I also tend to prune any on the side branches that grow toward the center of the plant just to keep the middle open to the light.

I have one that 's about 6 weeks old and it's about 18" tall. As you said, it is very bushy, I'm wondering if I should cut the lower fan leaves. They are the same size as any mature plant and they are in the way of the lower branches

Yes you can as others have said, it will revert back to veg. This takes longer but it's free plants, yes they will look weird for weeks until they get the groove on but as long as they are kept alive don't drown them keep them strick 18/6 they will come back might take 2+months, i do it all the time.

I'm thinking of trying to do some clones so been all over reading n watching videos on it. The other day I watched a guy take some buds still on stems and stick em in soil on a 20 hr light cycle and they were cool and quick to grow out into some real nice short n fattt plants. I say quick it was I believe a full 8 week veg but I do that from seeds

I've done that with ILGM Purple Haze. I took four cuttings. One didn't root. Two did but never got very big. The fourth grew monstrously large and bushy. It produced so much I took a year off from growing.

Sure but when they root they will be in flower so you will put them back under 18/6 and they will reveg. Generally adds about a month to their grow period. If you're outdoors, this can be problematic. Good luck!
