First time grower does a little pruning...

So I have finally topped all of my new plants and the results look pretty good, IMHO. I've included some 'before & after' pics and would appreciate and encourage any helpful critiques. I am a total beginner but I've been reading A LOT on this forum and GWE and think I'm on the right track. I'm sure some of the pros here will believe that I should prune some more and that's the kind of help I'm looking for. These plants are a little over 5 weeks now; I'm (tentatively) planning to veg for 7-8 weeks, then flip to 12/12 (currently 24/0) and flower for 8-9 weeks.

Thanks to everyone here for the great forum and awesome advice!!

IH, thanks for the comments! I do not have a 'journal' because I'm such a newbie but I will try to post updates as much as I can. I'm just thrilled that things are growing!

I've studied the hell out the website, ((AWSOME JOB GWE). And decided to do the manifold thing as well. I gotta say things are looking good! The second pic is one plant,, 8 main colas. This is day 40 on my first grow ever!! I'm keeping things as simple as I can, but learning as much as I can. I might have a couple too many plants, I've learned that!

Your plants look great! I think topping was the right thing to do, and I agree with your plan of letting them get a little bit bigger before you start the flowering stage. That way each plant gets time to develop their two new main stems!

In general it's recommended to switch to the flowering stage when the plants have reached about half the final desired height; they will about double in height after you change your light schedule to 12/12. So if you want your plants to be 2 feet tall, you'd switch to a 12/12 light schedule when they're about 1 foot tall. If you want them to be 12 inches tall you'd flip them when they're 6 inches tall.

        Very nice looking garden
