Hello tree dawg,
The size of the net pot only adds to the stability of the plant. I am using 3 3/4 inch net pots and I have one plant about 42 inches tall and one that is around 52 inches. I use plant support yo-yos to keep the plants from leaning and some of the individual branches from sagging. If the plants were left to grow, without any training, they might not need any support, but with the LST, they become unsymmetrical and unable to stay upright without any support. A larger net pot would give more mass for the roots to 'hold on' to. The size of the plant will be affected by the genetics of the plant and by the training (or lack of) of the plant as long as there is enough room for the roots (more roots, bigger plants).
Good luck with your growSmoke weed,.....grow peace!
