Bananas / Nanners at crotch of Topped Plant?!

Oh no! You'll see some nanners/bananas right where I topped this beauty weeks back. There zero evidence of any pre-flowers other than this particular part of the plant. Do I need to chop the whole plant down and toss it? Any idea why or how this happened? Can't see other pre-flowers on the other plants yet. (growing outside)

My thoughts are you have a male, pluck those balls off and watch closely for more. If you get only male flowers then unless you want seeds from any other plants, pull him.

I'd toss it if it were mine. It was a male seed

I agree, it is a male flower, not a 'nanner'. Nanners do not open up like that, but male flowers do!
