    Exposed roots

If you have a couple exposed roots on top of soil is it a sign of bad things to come or just good air roots?

Nothing to worry about there! It's a common thing for them to do and it doesn't seem to cause any problems in the many plants I've grown that do it.

I think I see why it happened, I have 2 to 3 inches of hydricorn on top of soil so roots react to it as if it was soil also

That makes sense; the same thing happens in my grows pretty much every time I use hydroton/hydrocorn. It seems like those roots get close to the top of the medium and stop growing once they have nowhere to go.

I've had the same thing happen without any issues. I've only done two grows but its happened in soil and coco. Sometimes I'll just ad a half inch of coco on the top if there is enough room in the pot.
Current grow_ coco based medium, Fluence LED lights, AIT, 5 gallon planters,
liquid organic nutrients by Advance Nutrients and Vegamatrix. Strains_ Exodus Cheese (feminized), Meltdown (regular) and Caesar (regular).
