    Insectiside

    Good Morning everyone. I've been lurking for awhile. I've been growing indoors for a few years but never outdoors. This year I am going to grow 1 or 2 plants outside. I already started them inside under T5's, they are 3 weeks old, I plan on leaving them inside until the switch to 12/12. One concern is bugs, anyone have a recommendations on what insecticide or insecticide's should I have on hand? or any other recommendations you may have. When should I move them outside? What is the process for moving them, just stick em out there, or? I live in upstate NY.

    I plan on Manifolding or just topping, any reommendation's ? She has 6 nodes at the moment so I need to do it soon.

    I am thinking of using 15 gal, grow bags, Too big? Too small? Recommendations? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks Skittles.

    For bugs use other bugs, ladybugs and praying mantis, etc..
    You'll have to harden the plants to real light, others will be more in tune with your area.
    I find 30 gallon pots to be very small, I am going to 135 gallon raised beds.
    Welcome to GWE

      Lady bugs sound good and mantis too but I rarely see any here so guess that's out. Once it's legal to grow here I was thinking of raised gardens, don't have to bend down as far with them. But before I do anything I have to wait for the grow regulations to come out. How deep will you make the raised gardens? I've read the tutorial on moving from inside to outside and it sounds easy enough.

      Thank you for your help;

        IDK where on the globe you are, but the ladybugs and mantis should be able to live there, you may need to provide them a place to stay.
        My raised beds are about 18" deep with no bottoms, just a ring on the ground. When I planted in the wild we dug 3-5 feet deep.
        One must know the rule in which they grow!

          I'm in Upstate NY between Rochester & Syracuse. I can buy Lady Bugs on line so I'll try them. Still have to check around for Praying Mantis. I saw on another post about ISO/water at 50/50. I'll try that inside if the need arises.
          Thanks again.
