    Air Ventilation issue neighbors

    Hi everybody,

as you can see from the photos I'm trying to find a way to hide the light coming out the grow box and preserve the natural air flow created from the two communicating windows (the other is at the other side of the room).
The problem is that my window faces my neighbor basement and he can easily watch inside to see wires, light leaking, plugs and the grow room itself.

LOL vicius SoOrbudgal is our famous grow lady and a hell of a good one. Not a bro but a ma'am.She's right, a mesh will do the job. Look at amazon or a hardware store.

Get something like the shades they make for rear windows to keep the sun off kids or you can get a black out window blind at home depot.

Blinds, mesh, curtains...anything mentioned above would work

If you really wanted to get creative and kinda fuck with your neighbor if they ever paid close enough attention; go outside and take a picture of your basement looking in through the window before you add all your grow eqpt. Print it off in color to size then stick onto something you can stand right infront of the window with a couple inches of space around it for air

Sorry for that Madame, I didn't mean!

Thanks guys I've already managed to use a military blanket which really shades the light. I just hope the air ventilation will not suffer from it

Black landscaping fabric for weed control? You can double it over. I'm legal growing in a bedroom closet. My photo grow last year I put a heavy-duty black shower curtain over the closet doors, had blackout drapes on the bedroom windows ... my nephew could still see the 'glow' while driving toward my house.
Soil: Coast of Maine Stonington Blend, perlite; Seedlings: CoM org potting soil
            Indoor: 2 x 5.5 x 8' Closet grow
Viparspectra XS2000; EnjoYield 220W full spectrum light added during flower
            Various size fabric grow bags
Cal-Mag & GH Trio if needed; Flower Fuel & molasses during bloom; ReCharge
4 clip fans. Exhaust into attic is vented to the eaves
            Current grow: DEAD FLOWERS

I use blackout curtains on my window for that room and staple it to the wall around the window to make sure light doesn't leak as my window goes into the front yard.

Being legal I don't care, I just wanted the room dark for 12/12 time. Any stoner neighbors can be jealous, if they want.

In our old house I grew in a spare bedroom in the open and duct taped Glad heavy duty trash bags over the windows from the inside. On the outside all you saw were the blinds, no glow. The window however, isn’t usable this way but nobody will see anything

bboyfromwayback I'd rather put up black, plastic sheeting or film, than have sheer curtains & heavy drapes to try to adjust with stuff in front of them, like the bed's headboard, and partially block one HVAC floor vent. I rarely open windows, not a breezy spot, wooded to the east and south. Windows and screens are newer but tiny bugs have always found me first. I'm trying to empty the 3rd bedroom to put the 'quest bedroom' in there, bed, nightstands, etc. then use an extra sofa to make the main grow closet bedroom into a comfortable lounge, a small TV, speakers for Spotify, a desk to work at with storage to hide all the crap we need to use. I have a MCM armoire in there now. MCM desk in my garage, a sofa, a sectional and two TVs in my LR - I'm drowning here, got caught in the shutdown. I was finishing painting another coat in the kitchen/dining/hall, and touchups in my bedroom, ran short on paint. Then everybody was staying home, I have so many cans of paint in various colors & sheens, and primers here, I could start a store.. Stick-on backsplash waiting to get put on after the kitchen painting is finished. The closet I'm using now is separated by a wall to that 3rd bedroom closet. I need to patch a hole in that closet where the original shelf & rod pulled away in one spot. Then I can do anything in it, it's only 2' deep x maybe 3' -ish wide, 8' high.
