    When to Harvest...

Yes when to harvest, a never ending question or discussion. Do you go by your judgments ? By the breeder's recommendations ? By the colours of your trichomes ? Or by your growing experiences ? Most of you know about my current grow right? Here it's what is happening right now with the Mazar Kush. The breeder recommendation (World of Seeds) say indoor maturation is from 55 to 60 days.

I might be off a few days of the beginning of flowering stage maybe 5 to 7 days give or take a couple of day. My calendar is 36 days so if I'm off by let say 7 days then the Mazar is really 36 + 7 = 43 days thus 7 days aways from an early harvest of 50 days right ?

This morning when checking the trichomes on the Mazar I notice some were amber... not many but enough to stay vigilant until they reach 30%.

So I might be closer to harvest with the Mazar that i thought.

    Just sayin..!

I go mostly by look and feel. Specially the strains I know. When I don’t know what to expect I do check trichomes just to be careful not to let them go too long but doesn’t happen often. Buds get hard and swollen days before ambers show up. I’ve noticed plants flower super fast in coco. I think in soil you should add one week to the breeders recommendation

Your observations, your experience, your gut I would say least of all the breeders recommendation; in the end it's your eyes.

I always go by trichomes. I use White Widow for my meds everything else I grow is recreational. It had taken 12 weeks of flowering for the 1st few grows but long about the 4th or 5th time of growing at week 16 trichomes still hadn't started to amber, ended up starting a flush an reducing light period to 10 hours to get them to start their change.

I'm a tad fed up with my Wedding Cake she's been growing as a seedling since Dec. 5th 18wks now and she is in her 80day of flower. I'm just done with her and stuck her ontop of my roof this a.m. It's sunny in the 60s probley in the 70s as the sun hits the gray flatop roof. I'm leaving her all day out there, she's drying up at all in her soil so i think she's got a illness i don't like when fabric does not dry up after 5days in a 3gal?? I'm leaving her till sundown and she's gonna sit all night in the bathtub LOL then i will chop her. She's been just cloudy for weeks not doing nothing. I gotta move on with the springtime chores.

I completely lost my sense of smell a year ago when a severe ear and sinus infection caused my right eardrum to rupture leaving me almost deaf in that ear and God knows why my sense of smell went too. The bummer part is as you might guess, I can't smell my ladies. I can't bring a neighbor in to sniff either. They are 6 weeks in have trichomes developing, and I haven't even put my filter on the exhaust fan. For all I know I could be stinking up the neighborhood, crap! Are you capturing these shots with the blurple light on? Short depth of field is one of my favorite effects.

I tend to go by the plant starting to yellow all over in final bloom. That's a sure sign it's using up all the available nitrogen before harvest moon sets in
I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.
