    DWC water to cold

First time grower in my first week of flower my water got to cold for a few days. When I realized three of four plants leafs were yellowing and falling down. This was about 6 days ago the plants are coming back but should I be doing something to help them. Thank you mike

    Hey, Mike. Welcome to GWE.

Could you define “cold” into something relatable, like a temp or something?
If the water got that cold, i would think the plants were exposed to the same cold temps and that would be more of a concern. I am a DWC grower and my tap water is only a few degrees above freezing during the winter. I don’t see any issues from using cold water unless it actually became frozen on the roots....but at that point, the plant is frozen to death anyways.
There are 3 things you must check everyday when growing in hydro:
    1) Water level (How much h2o is she drinking in 24hrs)
    2) pH level (change over 24hrs)
    3) ppm/EC level (How much food is she eating in 24hrs)

Water temp definitely wasn’t an issue if it was 63F. Your plants would love to always have water that temp 👍 (or even colder) Some hydro growers use cooling pumps to get their reservoirs down to temps just above freezing as the cold water holds more oxygen.

Pictures of the plant would help. As well as some details about temps and humidity/food schedule/lights/ph etc.

See attached pics. Very very important in hydro.
