    Power Outage

So in the Midwest of the US we are dealing with such extreme low temps that the power grid cannot support the energy being consumed so they are going to do rolling 20 to 30 minute black outs until the grid can support the consumption again.

This means no lights for 20 to 30 mins at a time randomly with no controlconm i screwed?. I got 1 tent in veg under an 18 6 and another in flower under a 12 12

I doubt that 20 to 30 min interruptions will bother your plants IF you are using a mechanical timer. The timer will still run the same amount of time, with a brief interruption. Over the course of a day tho, it will lose it's correct time setting so if that bothers you, just reset the clock every day while this is going on. A digital timer will not reset and turn back on so that might cause you a problem. If you're close to Home Cheapo, go get a mechanical one or two. Big A has 2 day service on these if you're a prime member.

That's suck..!! Do you have a off the grid backup? Because of the harsh weather here in Canada I have one that will last for several hours in case of an outage.

Well maybe in the future you can add a generator. Now we got 2 for the same reasons. TV, freezer/fridge, lights. We have wood heat can cook on it. Stimulus $$$ well spent.

Ya they have started doing rolling black outs here as of yesterday, some folks were with heat for an hour, then the grid recovered (they say from folks turning their T-stats down). The power going off for an hour is not likely to have adverse affects, and my heat doesn't need electricity to run. However, the natural gas well heads are freezing up and if to many do that it will effect me in a very negative way!
