Runt with rabbit ears, we're still waiting

We're both waiting and neither of us is in a hurry. I think the rabbit ears seedling broke surface 10 days ago.

I don't save all runts but sometimes I will and look how this other runt turned out - it's only 18 inches tall and been under 12/12 since January 1.

Hey my weirdO little gal gave me 2 polypoid branches. I also like to see if i can maintain runts heck they don't take up much room in a lighted corner of a tent.

Fair point SoOrbudgal about not taking space. I live in a legal grow state 6/3 law. I prefer not to waste 1 of my 3 flowering plants on a runt who might produce 1/2 ounce vs a healthy plant that will give me 6-7 ounces. If you have no max or grow illegally anyways I can see why it wouldn’t matter if a runt is back in the corner. Although I would like to add you are taking a greater risk with stunted plants in regards to plant problems down the road as well, which could ruin the entirety of your grow.

Just say no to stunted plants. Not worth the time and energy you’re going to commit to her over their lifespan. Better to sow new healthy seeds and lose a few weeks. Best of luck to you 🙏🏻

sparxxx007 - This post isn't a question "should I grow out a runt" . Your opinion is fine but doesn't apply here.

Instead, this is a thread tracing the history of a runt. It's interesting to watch the determined struggle to survive. There's *plenty* of room for runts here. And I've grown out large specimens, as pictured below.

        I was replying to this.
“I don't save all runts but sometimes I will and look how this other runt turned out - it's only 18 inches tall and been under 12/12 since January 1.”

I just didn’t want people finding a post about keeping runts to misconstrue it as “runts are worth investing in”, because compared to a healthy plant, it is much more rare that is the case. Was not trying to throw shade at you or your plant my apologies if I offended you.

The runt is NO LONGER, watch the metamorphosis. Rabbit ears falling off. This can't be called a runt anymore, due for transplant.

Don't sell runts short, they may grow out and be best.
