    Powering Grow Help

The only thing that's stopping me from getting my grow started is hooking my light to a power source. My grow tent is in the laundry room, and all the circuits in my house are 10kA. The dryer outlet has 2 circuits with a NEMA 14-30R outlet, I planned to hook up my 600w magnetic ballast up to it, but I have yet to find a converter that goes from 14-30R to the regular 3 prong my ballast has.

Am I SOL to grow? Or is there a converter I just missed?

NEMA 14-30R outlet is 30 amp 250 volt (if wired correctly), so you have 2 125 volt lines.
You can use this but you may need more than a plug and play part.
Now whats the input voltage on your ballast?
Also some of today's ballasts auto since the voltage and are good for 90-250 volts or so. I cant read the nomenclature from here.

Can you post some pics of the data plate area of your ballast so we can see the input voltage & current (amps) requirements and the plug end. It sounds to me that you can just plug it in to a regular household 15 amp outlet.
