    Vertical Scrog

I decided to bite the bullet and order 18 60 watt Samsung led strips.
I will see how soon my budget will allow me to collect the various other parts I need to make working lights using these. I was originally planning to gift 10 of these to a friend, but I'm not sure if it would be worth the time to try and get him into growing. He has hyperopia (meaning he sees distant objects clearly but anything up close he can barely see.) I got him some reading glasses which I am going to give him for his birthday, which I hope he will make use of to try and read up on growing on this forum and wherever else accurate info is found. I'm just not sure if he will use this opportunity, but if he does, I will reconsider helping him out with getting what he needs to grow his own smoke.
Anyways, in the meantime I would really like to try a 2 plant vertical Scrog in my 4x4x6 tent. I'd like to hear any predictions about the lowest wattage I could pull this off with? Depending on how well the number of light strips I will have can be spaced out along pieces of aluminum (the aluminum acting as a heat sink) I will try to hook all 18 of them up for a potential total of 1080 watts
I would prefer to use only 1/2 of this, split between the two plants. I will probably make my screens 2' W x 4' H, try to veg my plants to 3' before tying them to the screen and hope for another 2 feet by harvest. I want to have a total of 16 square feet of canopy. Note: just to avoid any misconceptions, I will further limit the size of the plants if I cannot lollipop it so the bottom of the canopy is 1 ft. above the soil. The goal is to experiment with just how low I can run these lights without my plants becoming lanky and failing to strive in veg. I have seen some micro grows where people grow two or three small plants with a small 100 watt qb style led. I want to know if I can apply the same effect but over a larger area.
I will document this in a journal. I'm not trying to suggest that using less power to grow is optimal for everyone, this is something I want to do for shits and giggles, but also as an experiment. And who knows? Maybe something good will come out of it.

Check out my DIY light build. I’m running a total of 600w across 20 strips @ 30w each using 2 different spectrums (5000k & 3200k).

There are 3 things you must check everyday when growing in hydro:
    1) Water level (How much h2o is she drinking in 24hrs)
    2) pH level (change over 24hrs)
    3) ppm/EC level (How much food is she eating in 24hrs)
