I’m around day 50 from starting germination. I have two 100 watt LEDs. I’m growing Sour Diesel, but I don’t think it’s a stable strain. After more research I wouldn’t buy from this seed bank again. One plant seems to be very sativa dominant while the others are Indica heavy. Some leaf tips were starting to yellow recently and I thought it was light burn because I hadn’t added fertilizer (Fox Farm soil trio) in almost a week, but I flushed and raised the lights to cover all bases. I’m going to remove some fan leaves and train out a little more. Hopefully start flowering around Christmas or New Years. I’m concerned my lights aren’t powerful enough to get big dense buds, and I’m weary of the strain in general just from noticing the variable phenotypes already. Pictures show the setup and some differences in plant leaves (trees are just some bonsai starts that enjoy the environment). Love this website. Would appreciate any thoughts or advice. Thanks!

Howdy CCbudz, Over all Your plants look good. I grow in a DWC setup, but in my past grows the plants always got those yellow/brown tips on the leaves. I always assumed it was from nutrient burn, but on my current grow, I started using the CALiMAGic supplement and now, no yellow/brown leaf tips! I did not change or add any other nutriment or supplement, so I would believe that it was due to a calcium or magnesium deficiency..Smoke weed,.....grow peace!

I have been looking into that more too because I do have a water softener. The drinking water I use on my plants isn’t RO, but it is filtered. Any recommendations?

I have been using just plain tap water (no softener). I thought that there were sufficient minerals in the water as the primary supply was from wells around the area. Last year, the city started to get about half of the water from a surface reservoir so I started using the CALiMAGic on this grow and there are no yellow/ brown tips on the leaves now.
Depending on the type of softener used, You may not need to use the CALiMAGic. I remember the softener system in My Grandmother's house used some magnesium salts that exchanged the calcium from the water.
