Hi Forum. I just popped an OG Haze seed I found in a baggie. I recently harvested another bag seed that I grew out of pure instinct, before even really doing much research and it came out ok.
Now I'm doing the research, reading about how to do this the "right way" and I've ordered some official seedbank seeds.
I'm trying a 70% coco/30% perlite mix for this next grow and I've already prepped my medium for my seedling which is about 4-6 days away from being ready to transplant.
My question is about how much to water growing medium in fabric pots. I put about 2 quarts of water into a 3 gallon pot, just to prep the medium. It felt moist to me when I did the finger test, but I see everyone here posting about runoff.
Should I be watering my coco/perlite until water is coming out the bottom of the pot into the saucer? I was sticking my finger in growth medium to test for hydration and after 2 quarts, it felt quite moist so I didn't add more water, but now I'm wondering if I should. My medium is just in the prep stage now, getting ready to receive the seedling.
