Need your help why is this happening to me ? i m lost on this.
does this happen due to plant stress ? or is it because a branch or two on the plant broke due to bad weather ?
please help me resolving this issue and why it is happening ?
this is my thirth year into cultivation and i get great looking plants but i just get mad due to these seeds
my location is in Ontario Canada

I forgot how far pollen can travel and still be viable but it’s a long way. Is it possible you have a neighbor growing and gettin it on with your girls?

Pollen can travel miles in dry conditions. So, you may have an arsehole in the neighborhood who isn't pulling theirs males down. That is a likely answer outside. Another consideration is if you have any motion lights, security lights or any other strong light source outside that may be messing with the dark period. If you were growing indoors, light leaks would be my first suspect to this problem.

Another thought, would there be a chance of something wild growing nearby?

              thank you all
i m in Cambridge ,ontario and my house is in the midle of the city or so.
yes i m growing outdoors there is nobody else in my street growing these babies as i have look in to back yards
i have been growing ,critical mass, ak 47, blue ice, afghan kush, gelato, northern lights , over the years and i get seeds all the time in all of these girls every year.
              i have a question.
if these plants get stressed out Example on branch broke due to bad weather will this cause the girls stress and will this make them produce seeds.
their is no strong lights in my back yard as i know during the night time.
Sorry dont know this as i m still learning and trying to find what is causing this.
              thanks for your help.

Have you seen what a hermie plant looks like, or the male sacks that sometimes develop on female plants? Curious if you are pollinating yourself. It is that or a neighbor, seeds need pollen in order to form.

To me this sound more like males nearby, certainly not ruling out hermies, but pollen can travel some 2000 miles if the wind is right. Not that you'll get more than a seed or 2 from that distance, but it can happen.
Have you grown any of the seed? If so were they male and female or all female? This can at least tell you if its an outside male or a hermie in the patch.

I had a couple of volunteers show up in my compost pile. They hid among the weeds until we cleared out the pile for the fall. Two females full of seeds. Saw no evidence of boys or if it were a hermie. Do think the pollen came from the countryside, either wild or from a careless grower.

I do know there is a hemp farm nearby. From there? Seed tossed with a roach and grew?

With legalization I think there is more pollen in the air, and the problem will get worse as legalization expands.

We may need to resort to greenhouses with air filtration to get our free photons in the future.

How far is the hemp farm, does the wind blow from it to you? Also wind does not have to blow in a strait line, storms will spread pollen like mad.

I'm about 4.3 miles downwind of the hemp farm. As for people taking advantage of Michigan's new cannabis legalization efforts and growing, my nose tells me there are quite a few.

I would highly suspect it came from the hemp farm. Which double sucks because the resulting seeds would likely carry low THC levels with it.

From your question, I infer that seeds pollinated by a female that has hermied will allways be female. Is this correct?

Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

I believe so. No male dna, that’s basically how they make fem seeds by forcing a female to make pollen.

There is a ton of information om the main site if you jump over there and type in the search section. “Hermies” and a lot of good articles will come up with all the answers you need

Yea either a near by hemp farm or u have an inconsiderate neighbor venting unfiltered air out of a garden with a male plant used for breeding

Many things can make a plant hermie, bad genetics, stress, broken lighting (2 hours light then shade then light then shade and so on) with high RH (how I first made fem seed LOL).
But my thoughts go back to the hemp farm/s as I see hemp seed oils everywhere and they have to come from somewhere. I think I would research this as you may need to move inside or provide a greenhouse with filtration. I can understand wanting sensi and getting seed pods, not at all what I want either unless its a seed run.
