N ot sure when to harvest- Buds look scrawny

I can’t get a good look at the trichomes on the buds because they appear to be small but they appear to be clear. The pistils are mostly brown on them so I tried to harvest a part of the top cola and after trimming the bud looks skinny and airy.

The rest I haven’t harvested yet. The flowering time on this strain (Dark Devil Auto from SweetSeeds) is supposed to be 63 days max, according to Seedsman. However at 63 days there were no signs of bud at all, so I changed the light color to a reddish color and put the lights to 12/12 instead of 18/6 even though it’s an auto flower and it was already showing pistils at that point.

Someone told me sweet seeds are slower so it might be 93 days instead. I planted her on approximately September 5th, so it’s 79 days apparently (writing on November 23rd). But most of the pistils are brown. Should I harvest now or wait 14 more days? What can I use to fatten up my buds?

I’ve been using Dyna bloom regularly but yesterday I used molasses in the water. FFOF soil, fabric pot.

So first off get yourself a jewellers loop or a scope to get in on the trichs. Not sure why you are flipping the light cycles on autos unless I’m missing something ? That being said I’m not a fan of autos because I feel like I’m in the passenger seat not much control. Also what do your mean you adjusted to red light? What are you using to bloom ?. Feed schedule and what about your ventilation or air flow ?

I am using a jeweler’s loupe but I can’t see them anyways because most of them are on the leaves themselves. I flipped the lights in hopes that it would help but I guess it didn’t. My feed schedule is once a week 3 or 4 mls of dyna bloom but this week I used molasses.

Don’t get discouraged we all need to start somewhere just keep trying, i would recommend getting feminized seeds avoid the autos and sound like you know the veg/bud cycle.

I’ve heard good things and bad things about autos but I guess I’ll do photos next time. I’ve also heard mixed reviews about this particular strain and sweet seeds as a whole.

I’m pretty new and pretty stoned so keep that in mind.
Don’t see you fatting up the buds at this point, I think if you’re thinking about harvest then you’re way too late to work on bud size.
I’m not sure if I misunderstood but the 63 days, it meant 63 days from when it started to flower not total life span and from my limited experience and what I’ve seen here, most breeders give a short time compared to what you’ll actually need.

Xena is right about the stated time frame, I’m not experience with ruderalis but over grown hybrid, sativa and indica. Usually takes a week or two longer in my own experience. It’s a good guideline to let u know when to start your flush if your new but the best bet is to get a scope. And unfortunately you are too late to fatten up these buds. Sometimes it can still be good smoke tho let us know how it taste and what kind of high you got I’m still curious.
