    seeds male or female

I grew 1 plant from a feminized seed and have come across a couple of seeds from the buds are they still a 50/50 chance of being a male

Not if you only had the one plant. You have a decent chance for them to be viable Fems, or crazy herms. Not viable breed stock, but grow em and see what happens.
    I bet Bob Marley's mansion
has a garden in the back
    Where he's growing something special
    Some celestial homemade hash
we'll sit down on his front porch
And listen to the angels band
Until then I'll sing I'll fly away with a fat onefin my hand

Exactly, if that was the only plant then it has self-pollinated(hermed).
Because the pollen was from a reversed female, all of the seeds will only have x chromosomes(female) but they may exhibit hermaphroditic traits.
