    First grow 6 weeks training

Hey friends, first time here. I just wanted to show how my first grow is going. My intention was to Mainline using Nebula Haze's method.
9/10- I topped it. The new growth was from the 2nd, not the 3rd, which made it grow different.
    9/18 -2nd topping
9/22- Looks more Mainline-ish. Out of town for a week.
9/29- Right before my Fim attempt. 4 more days out of town.
10/4- As you can see, that's why they call it that. I clearly missed. Oops. Supercropped and started to tie down every day.
    10/14 - I've Defoliated twice and lollipoped a little
    10/16- 7" tall 24" round.
10/17- Last crank down for a week. They're stretched down to the max!
10/21- 3 days til I get back. Haircut and a flip.

    Would love some feedback. Thanks

I'd love to hear some opinions on the ties when it starts flowering.

That's a very good start you got there. Every aspect looks on point. What is the concern about ties and flowering? We adjust the ties or take them off ( i do ) late flowering. Just ask away someone will give you a thought when the flowering begins. Welcome to the GWE forum.

Thanks a lot. I guess I'm stuck between possibly stunting it being tied down, or having it close up. I have no idea what it's going to do when it stretches.

Looks great! I like your idea of the rings on the bottom to help grow it out. I use safety pins and plant ties which works great but puts a permanent bend shape to the colas. Like budgal I release all the colas when I flip to 12/12 and let them stretch then if a couple start to outgrow the others I’ll pull them down as needed but if they stay reasonably close I let them be.

Thanks. They're wreath rings. A 12" fits perfect on a 5g pot and then I attached a 24" to that. I like the idea of a Scrog, but this way I can still take it out, and rotate it under the lights.

Nice! We probably have some, my wife makes her own wreaths so I’m gona try that out. When I scrog a plant I put a tomato ring in the pot then lay a piece of garden fencing cut to the size I want on top of the tomato ring and zip tie it down. That way I can pull individual plants out to work on them and it gives the ability to rotate them. Growing a bunch of plants under the same screen really limits what you can do and makes tending to them a pain in the butt
