    Flush? Week 7 GGauto

Ok so this plant is overall, droopy, lime green, showing discoloration.
is it ok to flush or will that diminish my yeilds?

Should I just try regular water feeding with some runoff? Or small flush with light nutes?

here are the leaves affected and the plant as a whole. I raised light to 30in from top and dimmed a little.

It looks more lime green in person,
I'm trying to do harm reduction. So bad idea to flush this far along?

Can you detail what exactly you're mixing for nutes? Like how much and what brand, PH, how do you measure PH and as much detail as you can about how you feed them (Frequency & amount, also, have you tried PHing your runoff?)
Also, please try and get a closeup of the underside of 2-3 different leaves and one of your medium, just so we can eliminate pests as a possible cause.

From a first glance it looks like overwatering, wrong PH and/or some micronutrient deficiency.

I use meigs fertilizer OG starter kit. I have over watered few times. My PH going in is 6.5-7. Runoff is 4.5-5.5ph.
I use meters for ph & ppm.
I'm using foxfarms happyfrog mixed with Foxfarms strawberry fields.
I give less nutes than the feeding chart says. Click image for larger version

What is a small flush ? Can you explain that ?

what I see it root issues. The droopy’ness can easily occur when you have root issues.
I would do a flush and get some supplements for the roots.
another thing is, in my experience don’t go after a feeding chart. Learn how to read your plants instead of a chart. You will gain so much knowledge and experience by it. And reading the plants signs is a key component to a healthy grow.

how big is the pots? And how much water are you giving it and how often ??
Just because people are over 50 doesn’t mean they know everything.
You can teach a old dog new tricks - But it will still think the old ways are the “best” lol

That one is 3.5 gal pot. I water about 0.8gal each. I do use hydrogaurd every watering also. I have over watered this one earlier on.

By small flush I just meant like 1/2 the amount? If that would help? Idk. I read it's not ideal to flush during flowering. Besides the final flush

Yea but if the plant of suffering, then I still would do a flush. Or only feed it water for some rounds. Plain PH water

          #6
How did that runoff PH get so low?
If it's been like that for an extended period of time the plant may actually not be getting the micronutrients that require a higher PH to be absorbed efficiently, which would explain the brown spots. If the leaves are lime green as well despite getting enough nitrogen you may have nutrient lockout as well.
Doing a flush after multiple overwaterings is far from ideal but may be the way to go.
I use Coco in autopots and usually alternate between a 5.5 and 6.0 PH between reservoir refills.

If you have a tendency to overwater I recommend spending the 100 bucks on an autopot kit for future grows. Otherwise, when your plant is healthy again don't water until it starts looking a bit droopy by itself. You can also get a feel for how much it weighs when "dry" and determine if it need water that way but that needs some practice.

Here's a checklist from the site, did you do all of this?
How to Prevent the Need to Flush Your Plants:

When hand-watering plants, always give plain water every other watering

Always start with 1/2 strength nutrients, and only increase nutrient dose if the overall plant is starting to look pale or lime green. Learn more about nutrient deficiencies. It's also a good idea to start any pesticides or supplements at half strength until you see how your plant reacts.

Always check and adjust the pH of your plants every single time you give them water. Even if only giving plain water. Maintaining the pH is the #1 way to prevent nutrient deficiencies, and simply by doing this you'll dramatically reduce the chance you'll even need to flush (pH being too high or too low is the main reason to flush plants).

When plants are sick, try moving the grow light up a few inches or even a foot. This will help your plant recover more effectively from many nutrient problems, whether you end up flushing the plants or not.

The Fox Farms soil always has a run off that low. It has been like that since I've used it. I let it slide because plants were thriving.
I flushed but not correct. I only flushed with 4 gallons. The same size the pot. I didn't know it was supposed to be 3x the pot size.
the yellowing looks better now. Shes turning green again really slowly.

Here is today. Still seems better.
Tent as a whole is doing great. I have my lights to about 50% now. I been turning it up slightly daily. It's still raised higher than normal. I'm just glad GG isnt droopy anymore and turning green again!
I haven't watered her since the flush (if you can call it that. Lol) so Tomorrow I'm going to give her some water at around 7ph. Should I give her little nutes too? She still limey.

My bloom fert has 5 rating for nitro in the formula. I really believe that these do need a bit of greening with the nitrogen. NPK 5-10-5 is what i use in bloom. Best of luck those really look great.

Yeah, I'd say start getting some N in there and try to PH on the high side, aim for a runoff around 6.5. I'd say keep checking that for the next few waterings, and try to maintain this optimum level:

PH doesn't have to be 100% consistent, as long as it varies between the 6 and 7 mark you're golden. Good luck.

I watered today and gave it like 1/4 - 1/2 nutes on the feeding schedule. With a little calmag. Ph was 7. The run off was 5.9. So I guess next watering I'll make it more towards 7.25ph or 7.5.
                      Would that be okay?
everyday shes a lil more green with a lil more growth. Its day 60 for her. The buds would be bigger I would guess if she never got stunted right after the stretch. Idk. Looking better tho

5.9 in your runoff is a huge step up from the 4.5 it was at before because your plant can actually absorb Nitrogen again. The need to overadjust your nutrient solution will likely decrease over time, so I'd just do PH 7 again and see if the runoff climbs in PH with each watering. It'll be an involved process for a couple weeks.

Those babies still look very young, which means they should bounce back easily enough. Just try not to overdo it with the watering and always check runoff for now. At this growth stage they're gonna be hella hungry, which means you'll have to water relatively often giving you lots of chances to react to changes.

Also, I recommend reading up on defoliation while your plants recover. Around now is the best time to remove some of the larger fan leaves so the bud sites further down can get lots of light and develop properly. Consider it at least.

I'm just showing you and telling you what I'm going thru.
Ok so it's now day 66 of gorilla glue auto.
I have been trying to raise the PH to 6.5 runoff.
Its a 3.5gal pot. Fox farms strawberry fields soil with a little happy frog soil. 70/30 strawberry fields.
I have watered it with 3gallons today at about 7.3-7.5ph. The water coming out at first was 6.1
                        Then 5.8
                        Then 5.5

The higher I put mine the lower it came out. I havent flushed it with 10-12 gallons. That's what is expected out of a flush right 3x the pot size?
so is that would I should do, flush 10 gallons thru? Would that get the PH up to the right place if I keep putting it In at 7 or so?
                        here she is

i am trying to help her. Maybe I should flush it until its right?

You need to stop flushing and chasing runoff PH.

As I had mentioned last month you are creating the problem by messing with it and should only be watering at 6.5ph with no runoff, you've striped your soil of calcium(the brown spots) and watering at 7.ph and higher the plant has toxicity and deficiencies from out of whack PH in the root zone.

Now that you have created a soilless medium in a sense, watering to runoff with full nutes is about your best choice,
                          10% runoff
                          Full nutes
                          PH 6.3 for cal/mag

Take it or leave it, just been trying to save you from this mistake and help.

Agreed. After I read all the post.
You have drained the soil for nutrients and this high PH is not good for the plants roots.

As Mr. F is saying, do what he is describing and suggesting
