    SOIL Drying harvested plants

I have heard when harvesting planrts cut stem near soil line. Store upside down plants in a cool, dark, dry enclosure for a couple of weeks before processing. This is my first attempt, I want to get it right. I only have 7 plants.

Yes, hang drying is very common before the buds are cut-off and the curing process begins. Temps 60-65 degrees and humidity in the 50% range. Ideally it takes 10-14 days until it is ready, which you will learn at what point that means from the tutorials here. The goal is to let the chlorophyl taste and smell out of the plant by slow drying, which if dried too quickly, that can lock in those smells and flavors. Don't dry with over 60% humidity because you then risk it not drying fast enough and mold starts to take over. Never smoke moldy weed!
