What are you guys think If you know what the inside of the sockets look like do you think that is a safe plan for the last two weeks of flowering or should I just replace the sockets. Chances are I won't use these lights after this grow but would be nice to have as a backup. And no laughing at my turkey pans that I used as wings for my ballast lmao

Actually, the turkey pans, thats pretty brilliant. I just saw something new, I like it.

There is absolutely nothing fire-safe about tinfoil in an electrical outlet. Slightly scares the shit out of me, but I also want to grab some popcorn and see what happens.

Room and plants looks nice btw.

Yeah that's what I figured I think I'm going to go ahead and replace the sockets I'm pretty sure the round pin and the bottom of these lights are the contact point on the hot side so you are right that is pretty scary I originally done it just to see if that was the issue and of course you know how that goes you just can't help yourself after that I've been watching and monitoring the heat output on the socket and so far everything's great even when I unscrewed the bulb the foil was pack ed nicely down into the bottom there's like this little circular piece of porcelain and the contact point sits down inside that so it actually holds the foil in place. But that being said it kind of reminds me of foil in the fuse panel back when I was young trying to hook up a crappy radio in my car

Exactly, like, I seriously was ready to get some popcorn and watch how this plays out. Glory or crash and burn. lol. The adult says hell no but the inner child says, might work.

I guess I could solder some solder onto the end of the bulb so it would be a metal contact and not aluminum foil haha

I would just finish them with MH if you only have 2 weeks left. There are a lot of people who swear by using MH for the last 2 weeks.

I thought about that I've kind of read a few forums on itI know the girl scout cookie does a lot of it's growing in the last couple weeks and the ATF gets really leafy in the colas so I was kind of afraid with the metal halide It wouldn't be enough for one and too much leafy growth for the other. They seem to be happy right now but I might try that
