    How effective is flushing?

I've been busy growing Cannabis, making tons of mistakes. I'm getting my feet under me, as far as feeling like I'm on top of things. This is my third grow, finishing up in a few weeks. That said, my schedule indicates that I may want to start flushing in just over a week. I haven't flushed before and am wondering if it makes that much of a difference...

I always flush but I feel drying/curing properly is more important than flushing.

I have had to harvest earlier than I'd like due to wpm. Hadn't managed to flush but I can't say I noticed the lack of flush.

I never flush. But through out the grow I have run off water. Every time I water. I never ever flushing because I don’t even get salt buildup. I agree on harvesting on right time and properly curing is the way

For my 2 cent opinion I flush could be with water or mixed with unsulfurated Molasses's either way and i check my photos trichs daily as the leaf begins to yellow.

It really depends on what you mean by flushing. To me there are two definitions that are common. One being to fix a problem and another in regards to harvesting. When fixing a problem you usually flood the medium (with good drainage) with about 3x the pot size to correct lockout or ph issues. When about to harvest, my "flushing" is not feeding it the last week and just giving it plain ph'd water (grow in coco and hydro). I think a lot of people get it confused but you are really not flushing before harvest (even though companies will try and sell you things to "flush"), you are just not providing nutes. I have seen articles and studies that show that flushing does not help and i concur with those as i find the flavor and potency is not any different as long as a good and proper cure is done.

Thats my soap box for the night lol.

I've flushed a plant to fix my mistakes...but I've not flushed at harvest time. I don't have vast experience to draw upon...just three harvests. My smoke doesn't taste like chemicals or anything so I'm not sure what I'm missing except to flush might increase flavor a little bit. But I gotta tell ya after one rip on the bong my sense of taste is out the window.

I flush to solve issues (Which means I flush a lot), I flush with plain RO water at least 72 hours before I harvest. Does it do any good? Not sure it helps anything but my own peace of mind. My thoughts are that if it helps to fix issues during a dwc grow, then it will also clean out (What ever) before drying.
